Amritsar, April 28 (K.L. Jit Walia):Retired Superintendent of Police Gurnam Singh has been appointed as the Vice Chairman of the National Human Rights Welfare Association. Known for his courageous, wise, and dedicated service, he has earned a reputation as a fearless and socially committed police officer.
The appointment was announced during an emergency meeting of the association held under the leadership of Kaushik Chhabra, National President of the Youth Wing. The event was attended by Satnam Singh Gill, AIG of Punjab Police, as the chief guest, while Dr. Raman Gupta (National President) and Rajkumar Khosla (Chairman) were present as special guests.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Raman Gupta and Rajkumar Khosla stated that Gurnam Singh has been honored with this responsibility in recognition of his commendable contributions to society and his deep commitment to social service.
Expressing gratitude, Gurnam Singh thanked Dr. Raman Gupta, Rajkumar Khosla, and the entire team for placing their trust in him. He assured that he would uphold the dignity of the position and work with dedication, honesty, and sincerity to take the association to greater heights in the field of social service.
During the meeting, chief guest Satnam Singh Gill and Gurnam Singh were honored with a siropa and bouquets.
Prominent members present at the event included Senior Vice President Sardar Kripal Singh Chahal, Munish Dhir, Raghav Seth, Harikrishna Bhatia, youth leader Bhanu Pratap Singh, Sandeep Singh, Rakesh Kumar, and other office bearers and members of the association.
