Amritsar February 17 :-A special traders camp is being organized by the Punjab State Traders Commission on February 18 at 2:30 PM at Town Hall Park Hall Bazar to listen to and address the issues of traders and shopkeepers.
District Traders Commission Chairperson Gurpreet Singh Kataria Commission member Sheetal Juneja East constituency Traders Commission Chairman Kapil Chadha South Chairman Vineet Aneja North Chairman Rahil Khanna and West Chairman Manjit Singh along with their teams met representatives of various trade organizations and local traders across the city to invite them to attend the camp and meeting.
Kataria Juneja and Chadha stated that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has initiated traders camps and meetings as a new step to ensure quick resolution of the problems faced by traders and shopkeepers. They said the camp will be held on Wednesday February 18 2026 at Town Hall Park Hall Bazar Amritsar.
They explained that during recent meetings with traders from different districts of Punjab concerns were raised about unnecessary visits to government offices and delays in resolving pending matters. To address these issues the government has established the Punjab Traders Commission to create direct communication between the government and the business community.
They emphasized that traders will no longer need to make repeated visits to government offices as officials will now visit markets to interact directly with traders. Issues that can be resolved on the spot will be addressed immediately while cases requiring time or formal procedures will be recorded in writing and forwarded directly to the Chief Minister.
The leaders expressed confidence that strong cooperation between the government and the trading community will make Punjab more resilient self reliant and prosperous. They assured that the Chief Minister stands firmly with traders and that every genuine demand will be taken seriously.
All traders have been urged to attend the camp in large numbers and present their concerns directly before officials to benefit from this initiative.
