Press Sangharsh Journalists Association Celebrates 14th Anniversary
Amritsar, February 15 (K L Jit Walia):- reported that the 14th annual conference of the Press Sangharsh Journalists Association was held at BB Kaulan Ji School on Tarn Taran Road under the leadership of National President Sanjeev Punj. A large number of journalists from Punjab as well as other states attended the event.
MLA Jeevan Jyot Kaur attended as the chief guest. Special guests included Mayor Jatinder Singh Moti Bhatia senior AAP leader Kapil Chaddha Surinder Kaur wife of Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO Councillor Vikas Soni senior leader Arvinder Bhatti Deputy DEO Rekha Mahajan and social worker Sukhraj Singh Sohal.
Speaking on the occasion Jeevan Jyot Kaur said that the Punjab Government is fully committed to protecting the rights of journalists. She said genuine demands of journalists will be conveyed to the Chief Minister and efforts will be made to resolve them at the earliest.
Mayor Jatinder Singh Moti Bhatia said that journalists are the fourth pillar of democracy and the government stands firmly with the media community ensuring they do not face difficulties.
During the event several new proposals and ideas were presented before the union leadership. National President Sanjeev Punj said discussions will be held soon and decisions will be taken on the issues. The organization also released its calendar for the year 2026 and extended congratulations to all members.
