Journalists Are the Fourth Pillar of Democracy Says Mayor Bhatia
Press Sangharsh Journalists Association Celebrates 14th Anniversary
Amritsar , February 15 (K L Jit Walia):- the 14th annual conference of the Press Sangharsh Journalists Association was held at BB Kaulan Ji School on Tarn Taran Road under the chairmanship of National President Sanjeev Punj. A large number of journalists from Punjab and other states participated in the event.
MLA Jeevan Jyot Kaur attended as the chief guest. Distinguished guests included Mayor Jatinder Singh Moti Bhatia senior leader Kapil Chaddha Surinder Kaur wife of Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO Councillor Vikas Soni senior leader Arvinder Bhatti and Deputy DEO Rekha Mahajan.
Jeevan Jyot Kaur said that the Punjab Government is fully committed to protecting the rights of journalists and will convey their genuine demands to the Chief Minister to ensure solutions. Mayor Jatinder Singh Moti Bhatia stated that journalists are the fourth pillar of democracy and the government stands firmly with them.
During the conference several new proposals were presented and National President Sanjeev Punj said they would be reviewed and decisions taken soon. The calendar for the year 2026 was also released on the occasion.
