Amritsar, February 6 (K. L. Jit Walia):Dedicated to the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary of “Hind Di Chadar” Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji, a series of religious and cultural programmes were organized on January 24 and 25, 2026 at Takht Sachkhand Sri Hazur Sahib, Nanded, with the cooperation of the Government of Maharashtra and the Gurudwara Sachkhand Board.
On this occasion, for the first time in the history of Takht Sachkhand Sri Hazur Sahib Ji, a collective recitation of “Salok Mahla 9” was performed by 350 school students on January 22, 2026, from 9:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Vijay Satbir Singh said that these 350 students belonged not only to the Sikh faith but also to Hindu, Muslim, Vanjari, Sindhi and other communities. Witnessing the collective recitation of the sacred verses of Guru Sahib by students from diverse religions was a deeply emotional experience. The supreme sacrifice made by Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji for the protection of religious freedom appeared to come alive, as people of all faiths were seen accepting Guru Sahib as a symbol of unity and truth.
The programme was attended by Jathedar Sant Baba Kulwant Singh Ji of Takht Sachkhand Sri Hazur Sahib, Dr. Vijay Satbir Singh Ji, Sardar Jaswant Singh Bobby, Shri Rameshwar Nayak, Gurudwara Sachkhand Board Superintendent Sardar Harjit Singh Kadewale, Sardar Gurbachan Singh Shiledar (Principal), Sardar Balwinder Singh Fauji (Assistant Superintendent), Mrs. Babita Kaur Chahel (PA to the Administrator Sahib), Sardar Pradeep Singh Maan, school teachers, and a large number of devotees.
