Grand Welcome Accorded to ‘Dakhila Muhim’ Awareness Van at Various Locations
Amritsar, January 30 (K.L. Jit Walia):On the third day of the ‘Dakhila Muhim’ (Enrollment Campaign) launched by the Punjab Education Department for the new academic session, MLA from Amritsar East constituency, Jeevanjot Kaur, today flagged off the awareness van visiting various areas of Amritsar. On reaching different government schools, the van received a grand welcome from students, teachers, and local residents.
Addressing a programme organized at Sharifpura School under the guidance of District Education Officers Kanwaljeet Singh and Rajesh Sharma, Deputy District Education Officer Indu Mangotra, and under the leadership of Block Education Officers Gurdev Singh, Yashpal, and Baljeet Singh, MLA Jeevanjot Kaur said that due to the historic reforms carried out in the education sector by the Punjab government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, government schools are today emerging as the pride of the state.
She appealed to parents to enroll their children in government schools, stating that these schools provide quality education, modern facilities, and competent teachers. She added that nearly 90 percent of officers and teachers holding senior positions today have themselves been educated in government schools.

On this occasion, Headmaster Rohit Dev, DRC Vijay Kumar, Manish Kumar Megh, Sandeep Syal, Rajinder Singh, Media Coordinator Parminder Sandhu, Media In-charge Manpreet Sandhu, Baljeet Singh Malli, CHT Harbaksh Singh, Harminder Singh, Daljeet Singh, Tajinderjeet Kaur Gill, Kulvinder Kaur, Arvinder Kumar, Shikha Saini, Baljinder Singh, Pankaj Kochhar, and others were present.
