Amritsar, January 24, 2026:(KL JIT WALIA)- Under the Government of India’s important “Yuva Aapda Mitra Scheme”, a new training batch has been launched in Amritsar. The training is being conducted at I.K.G. Punjab Technical University, Amritsar Campus (Khassa Road).
Volunteers associated with the National Service Scheme (NSS) and Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) are participating in this program. A total of 300 volunteers have been registered for this training camp, which will run from January 24 to January 30.
During the training, participants are being provided with practical knowledge related to relief and rescue operations during various emergency situations such as earthquakes, floods, fire incidents, and road accidents. Along with this, hands-on training in rescue techniques, first aid, and safety measures is also being imparted.
Course Coordinator Ankur Sharma informed that the youth are being trained using scientific and practical methods so that they can provide quick and effective assistance during any disaster or emergency situation. He emphasized that active participation of youth is the key to the success of this scheme.
Experienced trainers from MGSIPA, including Shubham Verma, Navkirat Singh, Colonel Dalveer Singh, Ankur Sharma, Nikita Singla, Sunil Kumar, Yogesh, Saloni Sharma, and Shaina, are providing situation-based training to the volunteers.
According to officials, this training will play a crucial role in ensuring the protection of life and property during emergencies and disaster situations.
