Amritsar, January 15 (K. L. Jit Walia):Judge Singh Dhunna, Vice President of Swarnkar Sangh Punjab, celebrated the festival of Daughters’ Lohri with great enthusiasm and joy. On this occasion, daughters were extended Lohri greetings and sweets were distributed.
During the ceremony, young girls such as little Amanat Kaur were given the same love and respect as sons. Addressing the gathering, Judge Singh Dhunna said that society must honor daughters and provide them with equal opportunities to progress in every field.
He emphasized that Lohri is not just a festival but also a message to bring about a positive change in social thinking. Daughters should not be considered a burden, but rather the light of the home, and every festival should be celebrated in their happiness as well.
All the dignitaries present on the occasion appreciated such initiatives of celebrating Daughters’ Lohri and appealed for promoting more such programs in society. Judge Singh Dhunna added that in today’s times, girls are working on par with boys in every field.
