Important decision to provide permanent PCR facility to strengthen security of traders
Amritsar, September 7 (K.L. Jit Walia): A special meeting was organised at Guru Nanak Bazaar (Landa Bazaar) to discuss the problems and security concerns of traders under the leadership of Traders Commission Chairman Rahil Khanna and the guidance of constituency in-charge Karamjit Singh Rintu. The meeting was organised by the police administration in collaboration with the Punjab Government, DGP Punjab and the Traders Commission.
The meeting was chaired by Guru Nanak Market President Gora Ji. Presidents and office-bearers of various trader associations associated with the market, along with prominent traders, participated in the meeting and placed their problems, suggestions and security-related demands before the police administration.
ACP North Gagandeep Singh and SHO Mohit Kumar listened seriously to the concerns raised by the traders and assured them on the spot that several issues would be resolved. An important decision was also taken to provide a permanent PCR facility in the market to further strengthen the security of traders. The decision was welcomed by the trading community.
Traders Commission members Rajesh Vasan, Gaurav Arora and Dimpy Chauhan were also specially present on the occasion. Detailed discussions were held on improving coordination between traders and the police administration, making the market security system more effective and ensuring prompt resolution of traders’ problems.
Guru Nanak Market President Gora Ji, representatives associated with the market, Veer Di Hatti, Cheeni Paji, Veer Ji, Sujal Sahib, Sunny Kumar, Pawan Kumar, Rajbir Singh, Sushil Malhotra, Kuldeep Singh, Chirag and Khana Ji, among many other traders, attended the meeting.
On the occasion, Rahil Khanna thanked the Punjab Chief Minister, DGP Punjab, police administration and constituency in-charge Sardar Karamjit Singh Rintu. He said that the safety, convenience and dignity of traders remain the top priorities of the Traders Commission. He added that the commission would continue to play an active role in the future by strengthening coordination between traders and the police administration and working towards resolving their issues.
