Khanna, August 16 (J.S. Khanna): The ‘Teean Teej Diyan’ festival was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Bigg Boss Celebration Bazaar in Khanna under the leadership of Aam Aadmi Party Khanna constituency Women Wing Coordinator Sandeep Kaur and Block President Rajni Bala.
A large number of women and members of the Women Wing participated in the event. AAP Women Wing Malwa Central Zone In-charge Amrit Puri Samrala, District President Harpreet Kaur Grewal, District Secretary Jagwant Kaur and District Joint Secretary Neelu also attended the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Sandeep Kaur and Rajni Bala said that ‘Teean Teej Diyan’ is a traditional festival celebrated by young women and married women with great enthusiasm, colourful traditional attire and joy. During the celebrations, women performed Giddha, Bhangra, Sithniyan, Jhumar, Kikkli, Ghoriyan, Suhag, Chhand and Boliyan, creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere.
They said that such festivals bring happiness and provide an opportunity for people to remain connected with their rich Punjabi culture and traditions. They appealed to everyone to celebrate festivals and cultural events together while strengthening mutual harmony and brotherhood.
Sandeep Kaur especially highlighted that such cultural gatherings convey the message of unity, togetherness and communal harmony. She also expressed her gratitude to the senior women leaders of the party for attending the event and said that the Women Wing would continue to participate actively in all party activities and contribute towards strengthening the organisation.
The ‘Teean Teej Diyan’ celebration concluded on a joyful note, leaving behind memorable moments and spreading the message of cultural unity and brotherhood.
