Amritsar: (Kl jit walia ) :- Representing the BJP North constituency, party leader Akshay Sharma attended the Antim Ardas (last prayers) of senior Amritsar journalist Harjeet Grewal today to share his condolences with the bereaved family. During the visit, he announced a financial assistance of ₹1 lakh for the family. Furthermore, he committed to fulfilling Harjeet Singh’s dream regarding his daughter’s marriage, stating that he takes full responsibility for the wedding and will ensure it is conducted whenever and however the family desires.
He remarked that Harjeet always raised significant issues through his voice and journalism and stood by the needy. Therefore, in his absence, it is his duty to support the family. He also praised the officials of the Press Club for showing solidarity and supporting Grewal’s family during this difficult time. He added that Harjeet’s family is welcome to approach him for any assistance at any time, noting that the doors of his home and office remain permanently open for them.
