District-level meeting chaired by Salil Kapoor focuses on strengthening the BJP organisation at booth and ward levels

A key meeting regarding preparations for the upcoming Punjab Assembly elections was held under the chairmanship of Salil Kapoor, President of the BJP Amritsar Urban District. The meeting was attended by members of the district core committee, district team, mandal presidents, and ward in-charges.
The meeting was attended by Bikramjit Singh Cheema, BJP Punjab Vice President, former MP and former Punjab BJP President Shwait Malik, and State Secretary Suraj Bhardwaj.
On the arrival of Bikramjit Singh Cheema, Salil Kapoor and party leaders welcomed him by presenting a portrait of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, a bouquet, and a ceremonial shawl.
Discussions focused on strengthening the party organisation at the booth level and implementing BJP’s election strategies effectively at the grassroots.
Congratulating Salil Kapoor on his appointment as District President, Bikramjit Singh Cheema informed party workers about upcoming programmes. He announced that the “Shri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Harmony Campaign” will begin on July 29, 2026, on the occasion of Guru Purnima, and continue until February 20, 2027. During this period, religious, social, cultural, and public awareness programmes will be organised across the country to promote the life philosophy of Shri Guru Ravidas Ji and his message of equality, devotion, service, social justice, and humanity. Events will be organised at national, state, district, urban, and rural levels, including across Punjab.
Addressing the gathering, Suraj Bhardwaj urged party workers to actively participate in the campaign from now onwards to ensure victory in the upcoming Assembly elections. He instructed mandal presidents and ward in-charges to conduct door-to-door outreach and spread awareness about the welfare schemes and policies of the Central Government.
Speaking on the occasion, Salil Kapoor said that BJP’s greatest strength lies in its dedicated workers. He said that the stronger the party’s booth-level network, the greater its chances of electoral success. He urged office-bearers to discharge their responsibilities sincerely and asked the district team to listen to public grievances and raise them with the administration for timely resolution.
During the meeting, members of the core committee and district team shared their views and suggestions regarding election strategy. Party leaders called upon workers to maintain direct contact with the public and unanimously resolved to work together to strengthen the organisation and effectively communicate BJP’s policies among the people.
Several senior leaders, councillors, mandal presidents, and hundreds of party workers were present on the occasion.
