Amritsar, July 19 (K.L. Jit Walia): Padma Shri awardee and Member of the Punjab Human Rights Commission, Jatinder Singh Shunty, visited Bibi Kola Ji Welfare Centre today and met Bhai Sahib Bhai Gurikbal Singh. During the visit, he appreciated the welfare centre’s dedicated efforts in serving humanity and supporting the underprivileged through various social service initiatives.
Jatinder Singh Shunty said that organizations working selflessly for the welfare of needy and distressed people, without any discrimination, play a vital role in society. He remarked that service to humanity is the highest form of service, and the Bibi Kola Ji Welfare Centre is putting this principle into practice. He also praised the leadership of Bhai Gurikbal Singh, stating that under his guidance, the centre has been continuously working for the welfare of all sections of society and serves as an inspiration for others.
Welcoming the distinguished guest, Bhai Sahib Bhai Gurikbal Singh briefed him about the various welfare projects being undertaken by the centre. He said that the organization’s primary objective is to help the needy, promote the spirit of selfless service, and continue working for the welfare of humanity. He added that, with the support of society, these service activities would be expanded further.
On the occasion, the Bibi Kola Ji Welfare Centre honored Padma Shri Jatinder Singh Shunty by presenting him with a Siropa (robe of honor) and a memento.
The event was attended by Mandeep Singh Bholu, Ranjit Singh Goldy, Gurpreet Singh Dhall, Manager Parmjit Singh Dhall, along with other volunteers and distinguished guests. Everyone present reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening humanitarian and public welfare initiatives in society.
