Fatehgarh Sahib, July 13 (J.S. Khanna):A meeting of the district unit of the Human Rights Forum was held at Sagar Resort, Jadla Road, Rahon, under the chairmanship of Retired DSP Avtar Singh, Chairman of the Anti-Crime Cell, Doaba Zone, to discuss environmental conservation.
The meeting was attended by the organization’s National President Dr. Jaswant Singh Khera, National Patron Dr. Ram Ji Lal, Personal Secretary Husan Lal Soondh, and Padam Man, Chairman (Jaipur, Rajasthan), among other dignitaries.
On the occasion, several new appointments were announced. Harbhajan Lal Sagar was appointed as District President, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, Amarpreet Singh Seth as Advisor, Punjab, Amrik Singh Kahlo as Vice President, Punjab, and Gaurav Monga was inducted into the Jalandhar team. The newly appointed office-bearers were honoured with appointment letters and identity cards.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Jaswant Singh Khera stressed the importance of environmental conservation and urged people to plant more trees. He suggested planting fruit-bearing, shade-giving, flowering, and medicinal trees to help restore ecological balance. He also appealed to every individual to plant at least one tree each year for the welfare of future generations.
The newly appointed office-bearers expressed their gratitude and assured that they would discharge their responsibilities with honesty, dedication, and commitment.
Among those present were Avtar Singh, Jasvir Singh Hundal, Lakhwinder Singh Hundal, Harsh Jangra (District President, Youth Wing), Nirmal Lal Bharta (Chairman, NRI Cell), Prabhnoor Singh, Shingara Singh, Surjit Singh, Rajinder Pal Tandon, along with several other members and office-bearers.
