Amritsar, June 17 (K.L. jit Walia): As per the schedule issued by the Election Commission of India, a training session for Booth Level Officers (BLOs) was organized today under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR-2026) program in Amritsar district.
The training for BLOs of Assembly Constituency 020-Attari (SC) was conducted at the Auditorium Hall of BBK DAV College, Lawrence Road, Amritsar.
The session was held under the supervision and guidance of Gurmander Singh, Electoral Registration Officer for Assembly Constituency 20-Attari (SC) and Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Amritsar-2. A total of 198 Booth Level Officers, 20 Sector Officers, 17 Assembly-Level Master Trainers, and nodal officers from various teams participated in the training program.
During the session, Assembly-Level Master Trainers provided detailed information regarding various aspects of the SIR-2026 process, in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Election Commission of India and the District Election Officer.
The training team included Harjit Kaur (Election Kanungo), Sukhpal Singh (HDO), Mandeep Kumar (Computer Faculty), Amritpal Singh (Computer Faculty), Amandeep Singh (Lecturer), Parminder Singh (Lecturer), Simrandeep Singh (SDO), Harpreet Singh (AEO), Ajay Kumar (Principal), Kulwinder Singh (Lecturer), and Mandeep Singh (ADO), who served as Master Trainers.
During the interaction, Gurmander Singh addressed the queries and concerns of the BLOs and assured them that any field-level issues would be resolved promptly. He instructed the officers to conduct door-to-door verification of facts and ensure strict compliance with the guidelines issued by the Election Commission.
The overall arrangements for the training program were efficiently managed by Harjit Kaur, Election Kanungo.
