Amritsar, January 6 (K.L. Jit Walia):- On the occasion of the New Year, a special meeting of the Amritsar unit of Kes Sambhal Prachar Sanstha was held, in which it was decided to immediately release the Education Fund created by the organization to support needy children. The Chairman of the organization, Sardar Surinderjit Singh “Pal,” informed that assistance to deserving children would begin with the new academic session starting in March/April 2026.
In this regard, after due deliberation, an application form was finalized and issued to invite applications from needy children. Eligible children are required to fill out the application form and send it to 123, Medical Enclave, Amritsar by January 31, 2026.
During the meeting, Dr. Jaswinder Singh Dhillon, former Vice-Chancellor, and Sardar Iqbal Singh Lalpura, Chairman of the National Commission for Minorities, Government of India, visited the residence of “Pal” Sahib to meet him. Lalpura Sahib appreciated the activities of the organization and stated that if the community is to be uplifted, education is essential. He emphasized that every effort should be made to ensure that no child of the community is deprived of education. He also praised the initiatives being undertaken by the organization in this direction.
On this occasion, the organization warmly welcomed him by presenting a shawl. Pal Sahib also presented him with the first volume of the English interpretation of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. He expressed his gratitude to Lalpura Sahib for visiting and encouraging the organization.
Trustee Sardar Jasbir Singh, along with Harpal Singh Ahluwalia and Rajinder Singh Marwaha, also welcomed him and informed the media that for the past 28 years, the organization has been conducting various programs for the overall personality development of Sikh boys and girls. These include religious camps, personality development camps, seminars, essay competitions, turban-tying competitions, and SAGA programs. The 25th SAGA competition held a few days ago clearly demonstrated how happy and enthusiastic children feel while participating in these programs.
Those present at the meeting included Sardar Kulwant Singh Gill (renowned painter), Arundeep Singh, Prof. Darshan Singh Sandhu, Gurpreet Singh Calcutta, Gurpinder Singh, and She-Khalsa 2023 Vipinpreet Kaur.
