BJP should not even dream of forming a government in Punjab: Danny Bandala
Jandiala Guru, May 31 (Malkit Singh Chheeda): In protest against the increase in the prices of petrol, diesel, and LPG by the Central Government, Congress workers led by former Jandiala Guru MLA and President of Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (Amritsar Rural), Sukhwinder Singh Danny Bandala, burned an effigy of the Central Government and raised slogans at GT Road, Adda Meharbanpura.
Addressing the gathering, Danny Bandala said that the hike in diesel, petrol, and cooking gas prices has placed an additional burden on the common people, who are already struggling due to inflation. He alleged that rising prices have severely affected the public and claimed that the Central Government had waived loans worth ₹16 lakh crore for corporate houses.
He warned that if the Central Government does not roll back the increased fuel prices, the agitation would be intensified further.
Danny Bandala also accused the Central Government of discriminating against Punjab and undermining the state’s rights and interests. He stated that due to the BJP government’s anti-Punjab policies, the party should not even dream of forming a government in Punjab.
He further alleged that the Punjab Government’s anti-drug campaign has failed badly and that drugs are being sold openly in many areas.
