Chowk Mehta, May 19 (Tarsem Singh Randhawa) – Under the leadership of Damdami Taksal chief Sant Giani Harnam Singh Khalsa Bhindranwale, the 42nd grand martyrdom event dedicated to the memory of the Singhs, Singhnis, and children who were martyred during June 1984 (Third Ghallughara) will be observed at an international level on June 6 at the headquarters of Damdami Taksal, Gurdwara Gurdarshan Parkash Mehta.
As part of the ongoing series of daily religious congregations being organized since May 1 in this regard, an evening diwan was held today at Gurdwara Sahib in village Jhalari. During the congregation, Sant Giani Harnam Singh Khalsa recited and explained sacred historical episodes from the life of the sixth Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji, from the Suraj Prakash Granth, spiritually uplifting the congregation.
At the conclusion of the event, the organizers honored Sant Giani Harnam Singh Khalsa by presenting him with a siropa and turban. The Hazoori Raagi Jatha of Damdami Taksal also performed soulful kirtan during the congregation.
