Amritsar, May 5 (Harpinder Soni): Bhajpa Amritsar Urban District President Harvinder Singh Sandhu congratulated the people of Punjab and the country on the historic victory of the Bharatiya Janata Party in West Bengal, Assam, and Puducherry under the leadership of BJP National President Nitin Naveen, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
He said that the victory in West Bengal is the result of the hard work and strong determination of BJP workers, who raised their voice against the alleged atrocities of the TMC government led by Mamata Banerjee and achieved a historic mandate.
At a celebration event held at the BJP district office Shaheed Harbans Lal Khanna Memorial, workers celebrated by distributing sweets, dancing, and bursting crackers.
Addressing the gathering, Harvinder Sandhu said that the Trinamool Congress has harmed West Bengal and pushed the state’s development backward. He claimed that under Mamata Banerjee’s leadership, Bengal failed to play any leading role in national development and remained economically weaker, especially in terms of per capita income.
He further alleged that Congress, Communists, and TMC together pushed Bengal into decline. He said that from Syama Prasad Mukherjee’s ideology to the Jan Sangh and now the BJP, the movement has evolved into a strong force under PM Narendra Modi, with the aim of making Bengal an economic engine of India once again.
Sandhu said that the BJP wave has now reached every household in Bengal and people trust the BJP to improve the situation. He added that after Bengal, Assam, and Puducherry, now Punjab remains, indicating BJP’s growing influence.
He said that the people of Bengal have shown faith in PM Modi’s governance and development policies by rejecting the Mamata government, and the BJP will work to fulfill the expectations of the people.
Many party leaders and workers including Rakesh Gill, Sukhminder Singh Pintu, Dr. Ram Chawla, Kumar Amit, Rajesh Hani, Salil Kapoor, Manish Sharma, and thousands of workers attended the event.
