Jandiala Guru, February 16 — Under the Punjab government’s anti-drug campaign “Yudh Nashian Virudh 2.0,” a large group of workers from the Aam Aadmi Party, led by Cabinet Minister and MLA Harbhajan Singh ETO, departed from Jandiala Guru to participate in the massive rally being held in Moga. Workers showed great enthusiasm and energy before departure.
The “Yudh Nashian Virudh 2.0” campaign aims to make the state drug-free and help youth come out of the trap of substance abuse. Hundreds of party workers left early in the morning by buses and other vehicles to ensure the rally’s success. During the departure, slogans supporting a drug-free Punjab were raised, and participants reiterated their commitment to eradicate drugs from society.
Harbhajan Singh ETO said that the fight against drugs is not just the government’s responsibility but a collective duty of the entire society. He stated that the Aam Aadmi Party government is committed to securing Punjab’s future and will continue strict action against drug traffickers. He also urged workers to spread awareness in villages and cities about the harmful effects of drugs.
He emphasized that guiding youth in the right direction is the need of the hour, adding that expanding opportunities in education, sports, and employment is key to effectively controlling the drug problem. The government, he said, is taking concrete steps and expects cooperation from all sections of society.
The main objective of the rally is to raise awareness among the younger generation about the dangers of drugs, promote positive thinking, and build public support for strict action against drug trafficking. Party workers said they are continuously engaging with people at the grassroots level to eliminate this social evil.
The convoy from Jandiala Guru reached Moga and participated in the rally with full enthusiasm, reaffirming their pledge to make Punjab drug-free and extending strong support to the campaign. Several local party leaders and workers were also present, and the event maintained an atmosphere of discipline and enthusiasm throughout.
