Amritsar, January 22 (K. L. Jit Walia):The Building Material Association organized a felicitation ceremony at a local hotel to honor distinguished personalities. The event was presided over by Association President Harvinder Singh Arora Dippal, while Chairman Shiv Kumar, General Secretary Maninder Simran, Joint Secretary Parvinder Arora, Cashier Gurvinder Singh and Vice President Tariq were specially present.
During the ceremony, Gaurav Agrawal, the newly appointed District President of the Virasat Seva Organization, was specially honored. On this occasion, special thanks were extended to the Aam Aadmi Party high command, the Punjab Government and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for his appointment. Speakers said it was a commendable initiative by the government to bring forward a trader associated with an association and entrust him with the responsibility of protecting traders’ interests and resolving their issues.
Members of the association stated that this step by the Punjab Government is highly positive, as representatives are being selected from among traders themselves and given responsibility to address trade-related issues, which will help ensure better solutions at the grassroots level.
