Resolve to Work with Better Coordination and Cooperation Between the Bar and the Bench
Amritsar, September 15 (K.L. Jit Walia): The newly elected body of the Amritsar Bar Association, led by President Advocate Gurpreet Singh Panesar, held a special meeting with the Hon’ble District and Sessions Judge, Madam Jatinder Kaur, today.
On the occasion, all office-bearers and members of the Executive Committee met the Judge and held discussions on further strengthening mutual cooperation, respect and coordination between the Bar and the Bench.
The meeting was held in a cordial and respectful atmosphere. The new body expressed confidence that through greater cooperation between the Bar and the Bench, issues concerning the legal fraternity would be addressed effectively. The members also expressed their commitment to working together towards making the justice delivery system more effective.
President Advocate Gurpreet Singh Panesar, Secretary Advocate Sunpreet Singh Mann, Vice President Advocate Amar Pal Singh Momi and Advocate D.K. Bedi, Joint Secretary Advocate Saurav Sharma, Librarian Advocate Sunaina Soni and Treasurer Advocate Kapil Sharma attended the meeting after assuming their respective responsibilities.
Members of the Executive Committee, including Advocates Sukhchain Singh, Amit Arora, Nitesh Jain, Akash Gaid, Abhinav Mittal, Manpreet Singh, Madhu Sudan, Palak Arora and Sukhman Dhillon, along with Advocates Avtar Singh, Gagan Bhatia, Geetanjali and Harpreet Kaur Grover, among others, were also present.
Speaking on the occasion, President Gurpreet Singh Panesar and Vice President D.K. Bedi described the meeting with District and Sessions Judge Jatinder Kaur as the beginning of a new and memorable chapter. They said that while upholding the dignity and honour of the Bar, the association would work with complete sincerity, unity and dedication for the welfare of advocates and the strengthening of the justice system.
