Amritsar, August 4 (Sandeep Singh Raju):Stagnant dirty water in the scooter parking area at Amritsar Railway Station following recent rainfall has caused significant inconvenience to commuters and vehicle owners. While people are able to park their two-wheelers, they are forced to walk through foul-smelling, dirty water when returning to collect their vehicles.
According to affected passengers, the parking contractor charges the full parking fee but fails to provide basic facilities and proper cleanliness. When questioned about the issue, employees of the private parking facility reportedly refused responsibility and advised people to contact the Railway Department instead.
Commuters also alleged that the behavior of the private parking staff is unsatisfactory, claiming that instead of assisting passengers, they often behave rudely.
The public has urged the Railway Administration to immediately arrange proper drainage in the parking area and investigate the functioning of the private parking contractor to ensure better facilities and services for passengers.
