Amritsar, July 30 (K.L. Jit Walia):Under the blessings of Baba Amandeep Singh Ji, head of Bhai Mani Singh Taksal, Gali Sattowali, Inside Bhagtan Wala Gate, Amritsar, the World Sikh Chamber of Commerce (WSCC) organized a free eye lens surgery registration camp for needy patients.
Around 50 patients were registered for free lens surgery during the camp. To ensure the comfort of attendees, proper arrangements, including seating facilities and chilled drinking water, were provided for patients and their attendants.
The humanitarian initiative was jointly led by Baba Amandeep Singh Ji and the office-bearers of the World Sikh Chamber of Commerce, reflecting their commitment to social welfare and public service.
Prominent dignitaries present included Rajinder Singh Marwaha (Chairman, WSCC Punjab), Jatinder Singh Moti Bhatia (Mayor, Municipal Corporation Amritsar), Harpinder Kaur Mukerian (Chairperson, WSCC Majha Zone), Harpreet Singh Bhatia (Chairman, WSCC Amritsar), Er. Daljit Singh Kohli (Environment Director), Jatinder Pal Singh Bobby Badshah (Treasurer), Dr. Amarjit Singh Sachdeva (Health Director), Kulwinder Singh Marwaha, Sarbarinder Singh Sonu Sultanwind, Manpreet Singh Bhatia, Vardeep Kaur Sidhu, Manveen Kaur, Mandeep Kaur, Renu, Advocate T.S. Teg, Sukhdeep Singh, Captain Pratap Singh, Navtej Singh, and many members of the Sikh community.
On the occasion, Environment Director Er. Daljit Singh Kohli also organized a sapling distribution drive (“Langar of Plants”) to encourage environmental conservation. The initiative received an enthusiastic response from the attendees, who appreciated the effort to promote greenery and environmental awareness.
