New Delhi, July 21 (K.L. Jit Walia): A grand and spiritually uplifting Kirtan Darbar was organized at Gurdwara Guru Singh Sabha, Narang Colony, Janakpuri, New Delhi, to commemorate the 100th martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed Sardar Teja Singh Samundri Ji. The event was held with great devotion, reverence, and religious fervor, attracting a large number of devotees who paid homage to the revered martyr.
The ceremony was attended by Lieutenant Governor of Delhi Sardar Taranjit Singh Sandhu and Delhi Cabinet Minister Ashish Sood as chief guests. Paying tribute to Shaheed Sardar Teja Singh Samundri Ji, they said that his sacrifice remains an immortal chapter in Sikh history. They highlighted his invaluable contribution to strengthening Sikh institutions and safeguarding the community’s identity, adding that his legacy would continue to inspire future generations to uphold the values of truth, selfless service, and sacrifice.
On the occasion, Sardar Tarlochan Singh Dhillon, former Chairman of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee, President of the Chander Nagar Residents Welfare Association, and Patron of Gurdwara Guru Singh Sabha, Narang Colony, warmly welcomed the Lieutenant Governor. In his address, he spoke in detail about the life, struggles, dedicated service, and historic contributions of Shaheed Sardar Teja Singh Samundri Ji to the Sikh Panth.
Renowned Ragi Jathas performed soulful Gurbani Kirtan, creating a deeply spiritual atmosphere. The congregation listened with devotion and offered heartfelt tributes to the great martyr.

The program concluded with an Ardas for the welfare of all humanity (Sarbat da Bhala), followed by the serving of the Guru Ka Langar, where thousands of devotees partook in the community meal with devotion. The event was conducted in a peaceful, disciplined, and harmonious atmosphere.
