61-Member Committee to Safeguard the Rights of the Swarnkar Rajput Community: Mukhtiar Singh Mukha and Balwinder Singh Billa
Amritsar, July 16 (K.L. Jit Walia):A large gathering of the Swarnkar Rajput community was held today at Gurdwara Shaheed Baba Pratap Singh Ji in Amritsar, where several important decisions were taken regarding the unity, progress, and welfare of the community. During the meeting, members unanimously constituted the “Shaheed Baba Pratap Singh Rajput Swarnkar Sewadar Sabha” and formed a 61-member Sewadar Committee.
It was decided that the committee would work dedicatedly for the welfare of Shaheed Baba Pratap Singh Memorial School, the Gurdwara Sahib, and the overall development of the Rajput and Swarnkar community. The committee will also actively address the issues faced by Rajput artisans, shopkeepers, and traders engaged in mobile or small-scale businesses.
The gathering unanimously resolved that the 61-member committee will not have a president. Instead, all members will serve equally as volunteers (Sewadars), and every decision will be taken collectively through mutual discussion and consensus to ensure unity and transparency within the community.
The meeting also reached a consensus regarding the membership and voting process of the Rajput community school and the future election of the community president. It was further decided that if any artisan, shopkeeper, or trader faces injustice or harassment, the committee will stand firmly in support and provide every possible assistance.
Committee members Mukhtiar Singh Mukha and Balwinder Singh Billa said that the 61-member committee would always work as a guardian of the rights, dignity, and interests of the Swarnkar Rajput community. They also announced that democratic elections would soon be conducted with the consultation of the entire community. In addition, the complete accounts of the Gurdwara Sahib and the Memorial School will be presented transparently before the community.
A large number of respected community members, artisans, shopkeepers, social workers, and members of the newly formed committee attended the gathering and pledged to work together for the unity and progress of the Swarnkar Rajput community.
