Amritsar, June 24 (Uppal):The Foundation Day of Shri Lakshmi Narayan Temple, located at Shri Durgiana Teerth, was celebrated with great devotion, faith, and enthusiasm. The event was organized under the leadership of Shri Durgiana Committee President Prof. Lakshmi Kanta Chawla and General Secretary Arun Khanna.
The celebrations began at 6:00 a.m. with a sacred milk bath (Dugdh Abhishek) of Lord Shri Lakshmi Narayan. This was followed by the Shringar Aarti at 8:30 a.m. and Hari Naam Sankirtan at 9:00 a.m.
In the evening, a boat procession (Nauka Vihar) was organized in the holy sarovar at 6:00 p.m. Later, Sandhya Aarti was performed at 7:15 p.m., followed by a grand Maha Aarti at 7:30 p.m. in the presence of devotees.
A large number of devotees visited the temple throughout the day and participated in the religious ceremonies and devotional singing. The temple committee made special arrangements for the safety, convenience, and distribution of langar and prasad for the devotees.
On this occasion, Prof. Lakshmi Kanta Chawla and Arun Khanna extended their greetings to the residents of the city on the Foundation Day of Shri Lakshmi Narayan Temple. They stated that every individual should contribute towards the promotion and propagation of Sanatan Dharma, so that its cultural and spiritual values can reach every household.
