No area of Amritsar North Assembly Constituency will be left behind in development: Karamjit Singh Rintu
Amritsar (Ravi Sehgal):Chairman of the Improvement Trust Amritsar and Aam Aadmi Party’s in-charge for the North Assembly Constituency, Karamjit Singh Rintu, inaugurated the road construction project from Ghala Mala Chowk to Gopal Mandir.
Rintu stated that local residents had raised concerns regarding the poor condition of the road connecting Ghala Mala Chowk and Gopal Mandir, which had remained damaged for some time. Giving priority to this genuine demand, construction work on the road has now commenced.
He said, “We are committed to ensuring that no area of the Amritsar North Assembly Constituency remains deprived of development. The construction of this road will provide significant relief to residents and commuters and will improve transportation facilities.”
Karamjit Singh Rintu further said that the benefits of Punjab Government’s welfare schemes are being delivered directly to the people. He informed that camps have been organized across all wards of the North Assembly Constituency to issue cards under the Chief Minister’s Medical Scheme.
He also mentioned that residents of the constituency are being sent on pilgrimages under the Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Scheme. “Service is our commitment, and development is our priority,” he said, adding that he meets people daily, listens to their concerns, and works towards resolving them on a priority basis.
Rintu further stated that under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the state government is fulfilling its final guarantee as well. Starting from July, eligible women from the general category will receive an honorarium of ₹1,000 per month, while women belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SC) category will receive ₹1,500 per month.
Senior Deputy Mayor Priyanka Sharma, Trade Commission Member Dimpy Chauhan, and several prominent local residents were also present on the occasion.
