Amritsar, June 7 (K.L. Jit Walia): In a major political development for the Attari Assembly constituency, nearly 150 families, along with prominent residents of villages Bhakna Kalan and Heer, joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) under the leadership of MLA Jaswinder Singh Ramdas. The families announced their decision to permanently leave the Congress and Shiromani Akali Dal and extend their support to AAP.
The newly inducted members stated that they were inspired by the development initiatives and people-centric policies being implemented by the Punjab Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. They pledged to work wholeheartedly for the party and take its policies and achievements to every household.
Welcoming the families into the party fold, MLA Jaswinder Singh Ramdas honored them with traditional siropas and thanked them for reposing their faith in AAP. He assured them that every worker and family joining the party would be given due respect and recognition and would never feel neglected.
He said that the growing support for the Aam Aadmi Party reflects the public’s trust in the government’s development agenda and commitment to serving the people.
Prominent leaders and party workers present on the occasion included Block Samiti Chairman Balwinder Singh Sagna, Roshanbir Singh, Sarpanch Gurjoban Singh Jahangir, Block President Randeep Singh Kotli, Mandeep Singh, Sarpanch Heera Singh, Mukhmeet Singh Cheecha, Gurdeep Singh Bhakna, Dalwinder Singh Gindi, Charanjit Singh Bhakna, and many other party leaders and supporters.
