Dinanagar (Rajkumar, Rajeev): Punjab Aam Aadmi Party’s Working President Aman Sher Singh Sherry Kalsi visited the party office at Ablakhair to discuss election strategy with AAP candidates contesting from the 15 wards of the Dinanagar Municipal Council. During the meeting, he expressed confidence that the Aam Aadmi Party would secure a decisive victory in the municipal elections. District President Joban Randhawa and Constituency In-charge Shamsher Singh were also present on the occasion.
Addressing party candidates, village sarpanches, panches, office bearers, and workers from across the constituency, MLA Sherry Kalsi stated that AAP’s impressive performance in recent Municipal Corporation and Municipal Council elections has demonstrated that when governments have honest intentions and people-centric policies, voters reward them for their work.
He asserted that AAP candidates would emerge victorious in all 15 wards of the Dinanagar Municipal Council elections. According to him, the government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has undertaken significant welfare initiatives over the past four and a half years for the benefit of the people of Punjab.
Kalsi highlighted the government’s achievements, including major reforms in the healthcare and education sectors, providing up to 600 units of free electricity to domestic consumers, ensuring daytime and additional power supply for farmers to irrigate their crops, improving canal water distribution to tail-end areas, implementing the Meri Rasoi scheme, and introducing financial assistance plans for women ranging from ₹1,000 to ₹1,500 per month.
He said these initiatives have had a strong positive impact on the people of Punjab, leading them to support the Aam Aadmi Party wholeheartedly.
Sherry Kalsi further remarked that previous governments often manipulated local elections due to fear arising from their poor policies. In contrast, he said, the AAP government has demonstrated that elections can be conducted honestly and transparently, proving that when a government delivers good governance and effective public services, there is no need for electoral malpractice.
