Religious events aim to connect people with humanity and brotherhood: Chief Sevadar Sohl
Amritsar, May 29 (K.L. Jit Walia):The annual fair at the historic and revered Siddh Khwaja Garib Nawaz Dargah in Hyde Market was celebrated with great devotion, faith, and enthusiasm under the supervision of Chief Sevadar and renowned social worker Amarjit Singh Sohl. A large number of devotees from different parts of Punjab attended the event, paid their respects at the shrine, and prayed for the well-being of all.
On this occasion, Kapil Chadda, Chairman of the Trade Commission of the Aam Aadmi Party’s East Constituency, visited the dargah, sought blessings, and interacted with devotees. He also inaugurated the community langar service, where a large number of people partook in the sacred meal.
Addressing the gathering, Kapil Chadda said that religious places teach the values of brotherhood, love, and service to humanity. He emphasized that Punjab, the land of saints and spiritual leaders, has always been an example of communal harmony and religious unity. He urged people to dedicate some time from their busy lives to social service and helping those in need.
He further stated that such religious gatherings inspire people to come together and spread the message of peace, love, and harmony. He also appreciated the social welfare initiatives being undertaken by the shrine management committee.
Chief Sevadar Amarjit Singh Sohl honored Kapil Chadda and thanked all devotees and guests for their participation. He said that the dargah regularly organizes religious and social events with the objective of promoting humanity and communal brotherhood.
A grand langar was arranged for the devotees, while soulful qawwali performances created a deeply spiritual atmosphere throughout the event.
Among those present were Advocate Harpal Singh Nijjar, Chairman of the AAP Legal Wing (Majha Zone) and President of the Bar Association Ajnala; K.L. Jeet Walia, Editor-in-Chief of Punjab Media Times; Chanpreet Singh Sohl, Bhupinder Singh Sohl, members of the Dargah Committee, and a large number of devotees.
