Annual Fair Celebrated with Devotion at Khwaja Ji Dargah in Hyde Market Under the Leadership of Chief Sevadar Amarjit Singh Sohl
Amritsar, May 29 (K.L. Jit Walia):The annual fair (Mela Mubarak) was celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm at the historic Siddh Khwaja Garib Nawaz Dargah in Hyde Market, Amritsar, under the leadership of Chief Sevadar Amarjit Singh Sohl. A large number of devotees from different districts of Punjab participated in the event and sought the blessings of Baba Ji.
Among the distinguished guests present were Member of Parliament Gurjeet Singh Aujla, former MLA Sunil Dutti, Chairman of the Aam Aadmi Party Legal Wing (Majha Zone) Advocate Harpal Singh Nijjar, Chairman of the AAP Trade Commission (East Constituency) Kapil Chadda, MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla’s brother Sukh Aujla, District Congress President and former MLA Sukhjinder Singh Danny, Punjab Media Times Editor-in-Chief K.L. Jeet Walia, Baba Muhammad Kaleer Sharif Wale, Baba Seema Ji, Baba Rajinder Singh, and Baba Baldev Singh. They paid their respects at the shrine and received blessings.
During the event, renowned Punjabi artists Alka Malka, Vijay Hans, Punjab Winner Sunny Bal, and Sabar Brothers presented soulful qawwalis in praise of the revered saint, creating a deeply spiritual atmosphere that moved the devotees.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Sevadar Amarjit Singh Sohl said that the Khwaja Garib Nawaz Dargah is a sacred and historic place blessed with divine grace. He stated that sincere prayers offered here are fulfilled and that the dargah actively participates in social welfare initiatives while raising awareness against social evils.
Addressing the gathering, Advocate Harpal Singh Nijjar said that those who serve at religious places act as ambassadors of God by serving humanity and guiding society toward righteousness. He emphasized that people should take time from their busy lives for spiritual reflection and social service.
He further stated that all religious festivals should be celebrated together in a spirit of harmony because every religion teaches love, compassion, and respect for humanity.
