Amritsar, May 24 (K.L. jit Walia) – Narendra Singh Tung, a senior Congress leader and councillor, has been appointed as the Chairperson of the District Congress Committee SC Department Amritsar Urban by the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee.
The appointment was made in recognition of his dedicated services to the party, extensive political experience, honest image, and strong direct connection with party workers.
Following the announcement, a wave of happiness was seen among Congress workers and supporters. Party leaders and workers congratulated Narendra Singh Tung on receiving the new responsibility and expressed confidence that, through his organizational skills and experience, he would play a significant role in further strengthening the party.
On this occasion, Narendra Singh Tung thanked the senior leadership of the Punjab Congress and said that he would make every effort to live up to the trust reposed in him by the party.
He stated that he would carry out the responsibility entrusted to him with complete honesty, hard work, and dedication.
Tung further said that strong organizational units would be formed throughout the district to strengthen the Congress Party at the grassroots level and connect more people with the party’s public welfare-oriented policies.He added that the Congress Party has always worked as the voice of the people and will continue to raise issues concerning the common public on a priority basis.
