Amritsar, May 21 (K.L. Jit Walia):- Newly appointed Station House Officer (SHO) of Chheharta, Balwinder Singh, was specially honored today by prominent personalities of the area. On this occasion, Chheharta president Avtar Singh Jeweller, former councillor Lakhanpal Kaher, noted social worker Suresh Sharma, president Satish Kumar Montu and Gurinder Singh jointly honored Balwinder Singh by presenting him with a ceremonial robe and a memento.
The leaders present at the event said that Balwinder Singh is an honest, hardworking police officer who maintains close relations with the public. They expressed confidence that with his appointment as SHO of Chheharta, law and order in the area would become stronger and people would receive justice and security more efficiently.
They further stated that maintaining coordination and trust between the police and the public is the need of the hour, and Balwinder Singh would fulfill this responsibility effectively.
Speaking on the occasion, Balwinder Singh thanked everyone for the honor and said that under the guidance of Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar, he would perform his duties with complete honesty and dedication. He assured that every possible effort would be made to maintain peace and law and order in the area.
He added that public cooperation is extremely important in eliminating drugs and crime from the region. If anyone receives information about anti-social elements, they should immediately inform the police. Several dignitaries and local residents were also present during the event.
