Amritsar (K.L. Jit Walia) – As part of its ongoing social welfare initiatives under the “Sarv Vid Liberty” campaign, Liberty General Insurance Limited organized a tree plantation drive at various locations in Ranjit Avenue, Amritsar.
The event was attended by Area Manager Manish Chadha, Territory Manager Malkit Singh, Claims Manager Harsh Mahajan, and other officials including Lavpreet Singh, Gagandeep Singh, Ritik Joseph, Suraj Kumar, Naresh Kumar, Danish Sharma, Saurabh Mahajan, and Ashwani Kumar.
Area Manager Manish Chadha said that due to declining oxygen levels, many people are suffering from various health issues. He emphasized that every individual should plant more trees and take a pledge not to cut them.
He further shared that under the “Sarv Vid Liberty” campaign, the company also conducts blood donation camps and distributes cold water bottles and towels to the needy during summers, along with tree plantation drives.
He highlighted the deep relationship between trees and human life, stating that trees fulfill human needs from birth to death and life on earth cannot be imagined without them.
Referring to rising temperatures, he said that increasing heat is severely affecting daily life and one of the major reasons is deforestation. He stressed that restoring green cover is the need of the hour.
He urged people to educate their children about the importance of a clean environment and to plant fruit-bearing trees in homes and parks to maintain ecological balance and ensure sufficient oxygen levels.
