Amritsar, April 24 (K.L. jit Walia) – As part of ongoing education reforms by the Punjab Government, a new computer lab was inaugurated at the School of Eminence for Girls, Government School Mall Road. The facility was formally opened by Sarabjot Singh Dhanjal, Aam Aadmi Party Majha Zone In-charge and Director of the Punjab Sewerage Board, along with District President Jaskaran Deep Singh, Trade Wing District President Gurpreet Singh Kataria, Zonal Media In-charge Advocate Arvinder Bhatti, and North Amritsar Coordinator Randeep Kumar Bunty Mahajan.
The event was attended by the school principal, teaching staff, and other members. The school administration welcomed the guests and briefed them about ongoing development works and new facilities being introduced for students.
Addressing the gathering, Sarabjot Singh Dhanjal and Bunty Mahajan stated that the government is fully committed not only to bringing government schools at par with private institutions but to raising their standards even higher. They emphasized that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, an “education revolution” is transforming the state’s school system.
They highlighted the importance of computer education in today’s modern era, stating that equipping students with technical skills is essential. The newly inaugurated lab will provide better digital learning opportunities to students and help them face future challenges with confidence.
Dhanjal further added that improving education and healthcare sectors remains the top priority of the government. The aim is to ensure quality education for every child and better healthcare facilities for every citizen.
He also noted that the visible improvements in government schools have increased public trust, leading to a growing number of parents enrolling their children in these institutions, which he described as a major success of the government’s education policy.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by the school management, appreciating the government’s support and expressing hope for a bright future for the students.
