K.L. Jit Walia, Amritsar :- Protesting against the deteriorating law and order situation in Punjab and the alleged arbitrariness of the AAP government, the Youth Congress staged a demonstration by burning an effigy of the Punjab Government. The protest was organized by the Amritsar Youth Congress team under the leadership of its President Rahul Kumar outside the office of the DCP Law and Order in Amritsar.
During the protest, Youth Congress workers raised slogans against the Punjab Government, accusing it of endangering the lives of Punjab’s youth. Addressing the gathering, President Rahul Kumar said that since the formation of the AAP government in Punjab, the state has witnessed a rise in “goonda raj.” He alleged that gangsters are openly threatening traders and demanding extortion money. He further stated that the law and order situation in Punjab is worsening day by day, but the so called silent AAP government is only focused on advertisements and encouraging lawlessness.
Rahul Kumar said that during the tenure of the Aam Aadmi Party government, every section of society in Punjab feels frightened and cheated. He warned that if the deteriorating law and order situation in Amritsar is not controlled, business activities in the state will come to a complete halt and criminal rule will be established.
