Amritsar, March 18 – A special camp was organized at IDH Market in Amritsar East by the Punjab State Trade Commission to address the concerns of local traders. The camp was led by MLA Jeevan Jyot Kaur, who listened carefully to the problems faced by shopkeepers and traders and issued on-the-spot directions to concerned officials for their resolution.
Prominent attendees included Sheetal Juneja, member of the Punjab State Trade Commission and in-charge of Majha Zone, Abhishek Bansal, Vice Chairman of District Amritsar Trade Commission, Kapil Chadha, Chairperson of Amritsar East Trade Commission, Advocate Harpal Singh Nijjar, Chairman of AAP Majha Legal Cell, and Ajit Singh, member of Trade Commission Amritsar East and President of New IDH Market. Block President Mandeep Singh Micky and several other dignitaries were also present.
Officials from multiple departments participated in the camp, including representatives from the Municipal Corporation, GST department, SDM Alka Kalia, Tehsildar Revenue Vishwajeet Singh, DSP Anubhav Jain, and SHO Amandeep Kaur. They addressed various issues raised by traders and provided immediate solutions wherever possible.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Jeevan Jyot Kaur emphasized the slogan “Strong Traders Prosperous Traders” and stated that traders are the backbone of Punjab’s economy. She assured that the government is committed to resolving their issues at their doorstep.
Other officials including Sheetal Juneja, Abhishek Bansal, Kapil Chadha, and Ajit Singh also assured traders that the government stands firmly with them and will prioritize their concerns.
A large number of market representatives, shopkeepers, and AAP leaders including Mandeep Singh, Girdhari Lal, Raju Pradhan of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Market, Rajesh Kumar Kala of Auto Market, Gurdeep Singh Rajan, Pradeep Mahajan, Sashi Jain, Amit Sharma, Harbhajan Singh, Prem Kumar, Harmeet Singh, and others attended the camp.
