Amritsar March 9 – A religious ceremony depicting the sacred wedding of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati was organized with devotion and faith at Rishi Vihar on Majitha Road. The event was hosted at the residence of Rajesh Ghai where symbolic rituals of the Shiv Vivah were performed. A large number of residents from the area gathered to take part in the ceremony and seek blessings of Lord Shiva.
On this occasion Mamta Dutta former President of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Women Wing and former District President attended the ceremony along with Deepak Dutta. They offered prayers and sought blessings of Lord Shiva for peace happiness and prosperity for everyone.
Speaking during the event Mamta Dutta said that such religious programs play an important role in strengthening the spirit of brotherhood love and harmony in society. She added that these events help people remain connected with their cultural roots and religious traditions which are an important part of social life.
Several prominent personalities were also present at the ceremony including social worker Mukesh Thakur Manjinder Singh Gindi Manmohan Uppal Mani Singh Bobby Kumar Vishal Bhandari Sachin Nanda Dr Vishal and Sandeep Dhawan along with other respected members of the community.
A large number of local residents also participated in the celebration with devotion and enthusiasm. The ceremony concluded with the distribution of prasad among the devotees who attended the event and offered their prayers to Lord Shiva.
