Amritsar, December 16 (K.L. Jit Walia) :- The second day of the Dr. Gurdial Singh Phull Memorial Fair, being held at Virsa Vihar, turned out to be highly memorable under the chairmanship of Pandit Krishna Dawesar and renowned playwright Kewal Dhariwal.
The fair was formally inaugurated with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Madam Maninder Pal Kaur, Principal of Guru Nanak Girls Senior Secondary School, Ghee Mandi. Principal Madam Asha Bhatia of Little Heart School, Putlighar, and Editor-in-Chief of Punjab Media Times, K.L. Jeet Walia, were present as special guests on the occasion.

Students from various schools showcased their talent in a series of vibrant competitions including Shabad Gayan, group songs, Kavishri, poetry recitation, painting, Giddha, Bhangra, solo dance, and skits. The performances received enthusiastic applause from the audience. Bhangra coach Nagi Sahib and actor Narinder Sanghi served as judges for the events.
On this occasion, RASA UK President Ravi Shankar, Dr. Phull Fair Convener Dr. Mangal Singh Kishanpuri, Principal Harjinder Singh Dhillon Makowal, Harpal Singh UK, and Principal Kashmir Singh Gill welcomed all participating teams and distinguished guests. Speakers emphasized that Manch Lok continues to work dedicatedly for the promotion and preservation of Punjabi culture, motherland, and mother tongue.
Principal Dr. Atma Singh Gill of Baba Ajay Singh College, Gurdaspur, expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support extended by the people of the Majha region.
Manch Lok Amritsar Chairman Principal H.S. Kathania informed that the third and final day of the fair will be held on December 17. On this day, senior-category teams will present performances in Bhangra, Giddha, and solo dance. The souvenir will also be released by State Awardee Principal Rakesh Sharma of Government Senior Secondary School, Zira (Ferozepur).
