Brampton (Canada), January 15 (Jobanpreet Singh Walia):- International Literary Sanjhan organized its monthly international poetry meet on Sunday, January 11, titled “Gaaundi Shayari” (Singing Poetry). This unique program witnessed the participation of a large number of poets and writers from India and abroad.
The program was successfully organized through the special efforts of Raminder Walia ‘Rimmi’, Founder and Organizer of International Literary Sanjhan. Renowned literary personalities Prof. Suhinder Bir and Harmit Vidyarthi graced the occasion as chief guests.
During the poetic session, poets Amanbir Singh Dhami, Hamid Hamidi, Ramanjit Raman Sakhi, Gimmi Shagufta, Davinder Kaur Dhillon, Manjit Singh Chatrik, Parmjit Kaur Jaiswal, Satinderjit Kaur, Amarjit Singh Sherpuri, Neetu Arora, Mahinder Singh Jhammat, Harmit Vidyarthi, and Prof. Suhinder Bir presented their poetic compositions melodiously, captivating the audience.
The program was gracefully conducted by patron Surjit Kaur, who warmly welcomed all the poets and extended greetings on the occasion of Lohri and the New Year at the outset.
The event began with Amanbir Singh Dhami’s ghazal “Kitthon Tere Haan De Main Harf Leyaawan Dass”, which received great appreciation from the audience.
Towards the end, S. Pyara Singh Kuddowal moved everyone with his soulful rendition of “Tere Ghar Ton Door Jadon Da Hoya Haan”. Prof. Suhinder Bir made the conclusion memorable with his song “Pariye Ni Pariye”.
On this occasion, Chairman Pyara Singh Kuddowal described the program as a meaningful beginning to the New Year and highly praised the excellent hosting by Surjit Kaur.
A large number of viewers from Canada and other countries joined the program online and thoroughly enjoyed “Gaaundi Shayari.” In the end, Raminder Rimmi expressed heartfelt thanks to everyone for their participation and support.
