Advocate Prakashdeep Kaur steps into the electoral arena with the vision: “One Honest Voice, One Strong Bar”
Amritsar, August 29 (K.L. Jit Walia): Senior advocate Prakashdeep Kaur, practicing at the Amritsar District Courts, has formally announced her candidature for the post of Vice President in the upcoming Amritsar Bar Association Elections 2026.
A dedicated and active member of the Bar Association since 1998, Advocate Prakashdeep Kaur has been associated with the legal fraternity for several years and has consistently raised issues concerning the welfare and interests of fellow advocates.
Resolving Advocates’ Problems is the Primary Goal
Presenting her election campaign vision, “One Honest Voice, One Strong Bar,” Advocate Prakashdeep Kaur said that her objective is not merely to secure an office but to work with honesty, integrity, commitment and dedication towards addressing the genuine concerns and problems of the advocate community.
She said that a strong Bar Association can only be built when the voices and concerns of all its members are heard and addressed effectively.
Priority to Basic Facilities and Better Working Environment
Advocate Prakashdeep Kaur said that ensuring a better and more convenient working environment for advocates would remain among her top priorities.
She said efforts would be made to improve important facilities, including better chamber arrangements, organised parking facilities, a modern library and improved meeting infrastructure.
According to her, advocates should have access to a professional and well-equipped workplace that enables them to perform their duties efficiently.
Special Focus on Safety and Dignity of Women Advocates
Advocate Prakashdeep Kaur said that providing women advocates with a safe, respectful and supportive professional environment is extremely important.
She said that she would make every effort to promote effective mechanisms for addressing issues and concerns faced by women advocates and to ensure that they receive proper support and representation within the Bar Association.
Welfare Initiatives for Young Advocates
Speaking about young advocates, she said that newly enrolled lawyers require proper guidance and opportunities to develop professionally.
She proposed encouraging welfare initiatives, continuous legal education programmes and mentoring opportunities to help young advocates strengthen their professional skills and establish themselves in the legal profession.
She also said that efforts would be made to promote social security and welfare-related initiatives for advocates and their families.

Advocate Prakashdeep Kaur appealed to all respected senior members of the Bar Association, fellow advocates and young lawyers to extend their support, blessings and vote in her favour.
She said that if the members of the Bar place their trust in her, she will work with complete honesty and dedication to strengthen the unity, dignity and collective interests of the Amritsar Bar Association and the advocate community.
