Sewer Man Welfare Union celebrates Lohri
Amritsar January 13 (K L Jit Walia):The Sewer Man Welfare Union under the leadership of its President Surinder Sharma Sonu celebrated the auspicious festival of Lohri with great enthusiasm joy and in a traditional manner. Amritsar Mayor Jatinder Singh Bhatia and senior Janata Party leader Ashwani Sharma were present on the occasion as chief guests.
On this occasion the guests appreciated the commendable initiative of the union and extended Lohri greetings to everyone. They said that such festivals further strengthen the spirit of mutual brotherhood love and unity in society.
During the program Union President Surinder Sharma Sonu thanked all the guests and colleagues and said that the Sewer Man Welfare Union has always worked for the welfare of employees protection of their rights and strengthening social harmony. He added that such events fill employees with renewed energy and enthusiasm.
Those present on the occasion included President Jony Hans Chairman Deepak Mattu Vice Chairman Sunil Kumar Vice President Goldy Baldev Singh Wadali Patron Ashok Hans General Secretary Mandeep Wadali Sunny Shergill Gulshan Kumar Arjun Hari Hans Gulzar Singh Vijay Kumar Sahil Sajan Harpreet and Jazbir along with many other members.
During the ceremony the Lohri bonfire was lit in the traditional manner sweets were distributed and the atmosphere was made joyous with folk songs. The leaders said that the union will continue to organize such social and collective events in the future as well.
On this occasion Surinder Sharma Sonu warmly welcomed all the distinguished guests and association members.
