Verka, August 22 (Paramjit Singh Bagga): As part of the public interaction programmes launched across Punjab by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, a programme is scheduled to be held on August 26 at the Sports Stadium in the historic town of Chawinda Devi, under the Majitha Assembly constituency. Today, Aam Aadmi Party Majitha constituency in-charge Talbir Singh Gill reviewed the arrangements for the event at the venue.
During the inspection, Amritsar Deputy Commissioner Dalwinderjit Singh, Majitha SDM Rajneesh Arora, Tehsildar Ajay Kumar, along with sarpanches and prominent residents from various villages, were present.
After reviewing the arrangements, Talbir Singh Gill said that the Chief Minister would address the public gathering regarding development works being carried out in the Majitha constituency on a large scale and the efforts being made to give them new momentum, besides discussing other development schemes.
Gill said that the arrangements at the stadium were reviewed with the administrative officials to ensure that residents attending the programme face no inconvenience, particularly in view of the rainy season.
He said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann would arrive here at 3 PM on August 26. He appealed to all sarpanches, panches, Block Samiti members, Zila Parishad members and residents of the Majitha constituency to attend the programme in large numbers.
Gill said that the people would be informed about the development works completed and currently underway in the constituency with grants released by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. Information about the remaining works would also be provided so that these projects can be completed at the earliest.
Gill appealed to all men, women and youth of the constituency to attend in large numbers and listen to the Chief Minister’s address. He claimed that the programme being held as part of the public interaction initiative would be historic.
On this occasion, Dr. Tarsem Singh Sialka, Hardev Singh Deba, Sarpanch Paramjit Kaur, Ajay Pal Singh Kuralia, Sarpanch Harvinder Singh, Harpal Singh Ladi, Sarpanch Jatinder Singh, Shivraj Singh Bheelowal, Karan Bhandari, Subeg Singh Abdal, Sarpanch Dhanna Singh and others were present.
