Amritsar, August 12 (K.L. Jit Walia) — An important meeting was held today under the leadership of Amritsar Police Commissioner Shri Harmanbir Singh Gill, IPS, with representatives of the Rice Sheller Association. DCP Investigation Amritsar Shri Ravinderpal Singh Sandhu and the respective Zone ADCPs were also present during the meeting.
The meeting primarily focused on security-related issues and the law-and-order situation in the area. Discussions were held on measures to further strengthen security and ensure a safe environment for the business community.
During the meeting, rice sheller owners and representatives of the association expressed their complete confidence in the police administration. They appreciated the efforts being made by the police to maintain law and order in the city and ensure the safety of the general public and the business community.
Police Commissioner Shri Harmanbir Singh Gill, IPS, said that Amritsar Commissionerate Police is fully committed to maintaining law and order and ensuring a secure environment across the city. He urged business owners and members of the public to immediately contact the police if they come across any problem, illegal activity or suspicious activity.
Police officials also appealed to rice sheller owners to strengthen security arrangements at their business premises, keep CCTV cameras operational and immediately inform the police about any suspicious person or activity.
The meeting between the police administration and representatives of the Rice Sheller Association further strengthened mutual coordination and trust. Association members expressed satisfaction with the assurance given by the police and stated that they would extend full cooperation to the police administration in maintaining peace and a secure environment in the city.
Amritsar Commissionerate Police assured the general public and the business community that the police remain fully alert and will continue to maintain strict surveillance over anti-social elements that could affect law and order. Effective action will continue to be taken against such elements as per law.
