Amritsar, August 9 (K.L. Jit Walia): Amritsar MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla has provided financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh for the development and public welfare works of Shri Guru Ravidas Dharamshala. The assistance was made available through the special efforts of senior Congress leader Sanjeev Arora.
Speaking on the occasion, Sanjeev Arora said that MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla has always remained committed to helping the people of Amritsar as well as religious and social organisations. He said that Shri Guru Ravidas Ji gave society the message of equality, brotherhood, humanity and social justice, and it is the responsibility of everyone to carry these teachings forward.
He said that a large number of devotees and local residents are associated with Shri Guru Ravidas Dharamshala. The financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh will help in carrying out essential development works and improving basic facilities at the Dharamshala.
MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla said that religious and social organisations play an important role in strengthening service, brotherhood and harmony in society. He said that the teachings of Guru Ravidas Ji inspire people to serve humanity without any discrimination.
Chairman of the Dharamshala Yudhveer, President Reesh Kumar and other prominent persons were present on the occasion. The management of the Dharamshala and devotees expressed their gratitude to MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla and Sanjeev Arora for their support.
