Amritsar, March 5 (K.L. Jit Walia) – MLA of Amritsar East constituency Jeevan Jyot Kaur held a special meeting today with senior police officials to further strengthen law and order in the area and ensure the safety of the people. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on maintaining peace in the constituency, intensifying the anti-drug campaign, and addressing several important security-related issues.
On this occasion, MLA Jeevan Jyot Kaur said that maintaining peace and security in the region is the primary responsibility of the administration. She emphasized that ensuring the safety of every citizen is the main objective and that the administration must work with full dedication and honesty to achieve this goal.
She particularly stressed the need to make the ongoing campaign against drugs more effective, stating that drug abuse is a serious problem for society. She said that to eradicate this menace from its roots, the police administration and all sections of society must work together. She also called for strict action against drug traffickers so that the youth can be protected from this social evil.
Jeevan Jyot Kaur added that under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the state government is continuously taking strong steps to make Punjab drug-free. She directed the police officials to remain vigilant in maintaining law and order in the area and to take immediate action against any anti-social activities.
During the meeting, police officials also briefed about the security arrangements in the area, patrolling systems, and anti-drug operations. They assured that the police administration is fully committed to maintaining peace and law and order in the constituency.
