Dieting does not mean starving but consuming nutritious and balanced food according to the body’s needs
Amritsar February 28 K L Jit Walia — Sweta Managing Director of Just Diet Center Gumtala and a well known dietitian from Amritsar while interacting with journalists said that in today’s time unhealthy eating habits and irregular lifestyles are making people vulnerable to various diseases. She stated that many serious health problems can be prevented by following proper dietary precautions and maintaining a balanced diet.
Sweta explained that issues such as obesity diabetes high blood pressure and thyroid disorders are increasing rapidly mainly due to unbalanced food habits and the growing consumption of junk food. She clarified that dieting does not mean staying hungry but eating nutritious food in balanced quantities as per the body’s requirements.
She further said that every individual has a different body structure and nutritional need therefore diet plans should always be personalized. Following diet tips available on social media without expert guidance can sometimes prove harmful.
Sweta advised people to include green vegetables fruits pulses and protein rich foods in their daily meals while avoiding fried foods and excessive sugar intake. She also emphasized the importance of regular exercise and adequate sleep as essential parts of a healthy routine.
She added that regular health checkups and consultation with a qualified dietitian are necessary to prevent diseases effectively. Her aim is not only to help people lose weight but also to create awareness about adopting a healthy lifestyle.
