Amritsar, September 5 (K.L. Jit Walia): — A grand Shobha Yatra, dedicated to the 365th birth anniversary of Dhan Dhan Baba Jeevan Singh Ji, revered as “Rangrete Guru Ke Bete,” was flagged off today from Golden Gate in Amritsar for Sri Anandpur Sahib amid deep devotion and great enthusiasm.
The Shobha Yatra was jointly flagged off by the head of Tarna Dal and Jathedar of the Valmiki Mazhabi Sikh community, Baba Major Singh Ji Sodhi, SP Jaskaran Singh Ji, and representatives of various Nihang Singh organisations of the Sikh community.
During the religious procession, devotees remembered Baba Jeevan Singh Ji’s life, his immense service to the Sikh Panth and his contribution towards humanity. A large number of devotees participated with great religious fervour, and the atmosphere echoed with devotional slogans and praises in honour of Baba Jeevan Singh Ji.
On the occasion, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Welfare Forum Chairman Om Prakash Anariya, Jagtar Singh Boxer, President Riku G.M., Vice President Ravi Chauhan, Gurdial Singh Bagga Boxer, prominent social worker Parminder Singh Tung, Mahinder Kaur Rani and President Rohit Anariya, along with a large number of devotees and other distinguished personalities, were present.
The leaders said that Baba Jeevan Singh Ji’s sacrifice, courage, fearlessness and unwavering devotion towards the Guru Ghar continue to inspire generations.
They added that such religious and historical events not only connect the Sikh community and devotees with their rich heritage but also spread the message of social harmony, unity, brotherhood and humanity among people.
