Amritsar, August 18 (K.L. Jit Walia): Surinder Duggal, President of the Amritsar District Unit of the Punjab Pradesh Vyapar Mandal, Vice President of the Punjab Vyapar Mandal and President of the Punjab Chemists Association, along with District General Secretaries Balbir Bhasin and Rakesh Thukral and District Vyapar Mandal Treasurer Ravi Arora, have strongly appreciated the development works carried out at Amritsar Focal Point and Bal Kalan Focal Point on the initiative of East Constituency MLA Madam Jeevan Jyot Kaur.
The business leaders said that the efforts made by MLA Jeevan Jyot Kaur by taking a personal interest in resolving long-pending problems at the focal points are highly commendable. They said these development works have provided significant relief to industrialists, traders and people working in these areas. The business community appreciates the work being undertaken by her.
They said that Madam Jeevan Jyot Kaur has not limited her efforts merely to development works. She has also consistently raised her voice for resolving the problems faced by traders, shopkeepers and industrialists after understanding their concerns seriously. She has continuously coordinated with officials to resolve issues related to basic facilities and other difficulties at the focal points.
The Vyapar Mandal leaders said that MLA Jeevan Jyot Kaur has also made efforts through members of the Trade Commission to bring the problems faced by traders to the attention of the government and concerned departments and seek concrete solutions. As a result, concrete steps have been taken towards resolving several long-standing issues faced by various business organizations, shopkeepers’ associations and industrialists.
The business leaders said that trade and industry play an important role in the economic development of any city. Therefore, providing better basic infrastructure and facilities to traders and industrialists and resolving their problems in a timely manner is extremely important. They said the efforts being made by Jeevan Jyot Kaur in this direction are commendable.
They said traders and industrialists of Amritsar want the pace of development works in commercial areas of the city, including the focal points, to be accelerated further and the remaining long-pending problems to be resolved permanently. They said the initiative being taken by MLA Jeevan Jyot Kaur in this regard has sent a positive message among the business community.
The Vyapar Mandal leaders said they would continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with MLA Madam Jeevan Jyot Kaur in the future as well, because apart from the focal points, she has made effective efforts to address the problems of people, shopkeepers and traders at IDH Market, Sau Footi Road, Sabzi Mandi and several other markets of the city.
They said that for the business community, the most important thing is that their problems should not only be heard but concrete action should also be taken at the ground level for their resolution. The active efforts being made by MLA Jeevan Jyot Kaur in this direction have further strengthened the confidence of traders and industrialists in her.
